How we source and check information

What every hub entry shows, and what has to be true before one is published.

  1. 1

    Sourced

Each entry links to the primary sources it is based on, such as agency pages, rule text and program documents. Amounts and dates are given as the program or rule states them.

  2. 2

    Reviewed by a person

Nothing in the hub is published until a person has reviewed it. Every entry shows who reviewed it.

  3. 3

    Dated

A “last verified” date means a person checked the entry against its sources on that day. Entries are re-checked and the date updated when they are, so an older date means it has not been re-checked since.

  4. 4

    Expert review

Some entries are also reviewed by an independent expert, whose name links to their profile in our expert directory. Their name is shown only while the entry is unchanged since they approved it. Meet the experts.

Programs and rules change, and this is not legal advice. Confirm details with the linked sources before relying on them.
